Ms Niessing will continue to work for ARN in the coming months, then after the formal settlement of the 2021 financial year at next year’s shareholders’ meeting, she will say goodbye. She said:

“After almost 12 years of working together with chain partners on sustainable car recycling in the Netherlands, it is a good time to focus my energy on other things.”

The timely announced departure gives ARN sufficient time to look for a successor. ARN’s Supervisory Board has already started preparations for the appointment of a successor, so that the successor is expected to take office in April 2022.

The Supervisory Board appreciates the results achieved by ARN under the leadership of Ingrid Niessing. A recycling performance of 98.3 percent in 2020, a large network and the future-oriented vision make it an appropriate time to hand over the management of ARN.
