Autocirc launches Europe’s first established solution for circular management of EVs and batteries

Autocirc Group, a leading player in the circular automotive parts industry in Europe, is now launching its group-wide platform EV360™. The platform provides a standardized process for the safe and quality-assured dismantling, testing and sale of reusable original parts and batteries from electric vehicles (EVs). The launch is particularly significant given the rapid increase in electric vehicles in Europe and the growing need to dismantle damaged and end-of-life electric vehicles and reuse their spare parts in a circular flow.

With EV360™, Autocirc introduces the industry’s first standardized, scalable platform for the safe and efficient dismantling of damaged and end-of-life electric vehicles, where original spare parts are taken care of. Recovered high-voltage batteries, so-called second-life batteries, can find a new use in energy storage systems or be safely reused as high-quality replacement batteries in vehicles. In this way, the lifespan of electric vehicles is extended, while keeping repair and replacement costs down to a reasonable level for insurance companies, workshops and car owners.

EV360™ is a real breakthrough for the automotive industry, from insurers and vehicle manufacturers to workshops and second-life battery players, ” says Hugues Delval, CEO of Autocirc Group. “As Europe transitions to electric mobility, it is crucial that the reuse of electric vehicle batteries works in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner throughout the value chain. With EV360™, we are creating a circular model that both meets this challenge and enables a systematic, scalable management of electric vehicles, while opening up new opportunities for our customers.

Autocirc’s analysis shows that the European electric vehicle fleet already contains around 300 GWh of end-of-life battery capacity – equivalent to five times the total storage capacity of all large-scale energy storage systems installed in 2024. This highlights the enormous potential for circular flows in Europe’s growing electric vehicle sector, and the need for safe and efficient management of original electric vehicle parts, especially high-voltage batteries. Autocirc EV360™ meets this demand with proven methods for management, classification and traceability that meet both regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

“With EV360™, Autocirc is the first in Europe to offer a scalable process to extend the lifespan of original parts and batteries for electric vehicles. We believe we can offer the largest and most reliable range of tested, classified and quality assured second-life batteries. As the transition to electric mobility accelerates across Europe, we want to enable a truly circular economy, and EV360™ is the key to getting there.”

EV360™ builds on Autocirc’s many years of experience from the established Norwegian electric car market, where the group is an industry leader in dismantling and recycling electric vehicles, including the sale of original parts and batteries from electric cars that can be reused.

At the heart of EV360™ is Autocirc’s EV360 Protocol™ – a detailed process framework for managing electric vehicles and batteries, which is currently undergoing third-party validation. By following the procedures outlined in the EV360™ Protocol, electric vehicles can be managed in the safest possible way, supported by repeatable processes and full traceability.
