Desguace Malvarrosa’s Rise in the Vehicle Recycling Industry

Desguace Malvarrosa was founded in 1981 and was one of the first scrapyards in the Valencian Community. We could say that we are pioneers in auto parts disassembly and storage. In 2004, when we changed location, we significantly upgraded our facilities, becoming the first scrapyard in Spain, and possibly the world, to implement a robotic warehouse, in which we have more than 230,000 parts in stock with photos and references and which, through an operating system, we can extract the parts from the database this gives us greater speed in parts preparation and greater storage capacity.

Inside Desguace Malvarrosa: Structure, Operations, and Employee Development

We are a company of approximately 50 workers, divided into eight sections (vehicle management and deregistration, disassembly, quality control, warehouse, sales, online sales, parcel service and administration).

One of our objectives is to develop the versatility of the workers, enabling them to carry out any function outside of their usual position and gain a greater knowledge of the company. We also offer internal training to enhance workplace development and management.

At the operating level, we practically follow the same operation as any scrapyard. Our strong point is the robotic warehouse, which allows us to arrange many parts in relatively little space. All of this would not be possible without a good computer system like Seinto, which will enable us to control the entire process, from vehicle receipt, decontamination, disassembly, quality control, storage and sales.

Serving a Diverse Clientele: From Professionals to Private Customers

Today, our strengths are online sales, shipping worldwide, and providing a premium service to our customers. We have qualified telephone sales operators in the sector who are in constant training. We also have our own fleet of vehicles, which we deliver to auto repair shops in the Valencia area and surrounding towns, as well as making sales to the public at our facilities. Our primary clients include professionals such as auto repair shops, vehicle dealers, other scrapyards, and private customers.

Industry Affiliations: Strengthening Networks and Driving Innovation

We currently belong to:

  • SIGRAUTO (Spanish Association for the Environmental Treatment of End-of-Use Vehicles)
  • AEDRA (Spanish Automobile Scrapping and Recycling Association); we are part of the board of directors.
  • ADECOVA (Association of Scrapyards of the Valencian Community): Our company holds the position of vice-presidency.
  • RiB A3 – Polígonos Riba-roja A-3 Business Association, where our company holds the position of vice president.

Belonging to these organizations makes us part of Spain’s large network of scrapyards. We are up to date on the latest emerging requirements and can make decisions on proposals to improve our sector at both the national and regional levels.
