Desguaces Suspiro and Apotalleres Promote Green Parts in Spain

Desguaces Suspiro and Apotalleres have agreed to promote green replacement parts across Spain’s repair sector through training, awareness and practical workshop tools. Desguaces Suspiro and Apotalleres have signed a strategic agreement to promote the use of reused and recycled parts across Spain’s vehicle repair sector.

The agreement was formalised during the 2026 Mobility Influencers Gala, held on 17 June at Finca El Olivar in Alcalá de Henares. It was signed by Joaquín Cenit, CEO of the Granada-based vehicle recycling company, and Juan Antonio Ausín, CEO of Apotalleres.

Both organisations say the partnership reflects the need to move towards a repair model more closely aligned with the circular economy, with greater use of parts recovered from authorised treatment facilities and professionally managed vehicle recycling operations.

Green parts at the centre of sustainable repair

The alliance will focus on joint training, awareness campaigns and practical tools to help body shops and repair professionals adopt green replacement parts more easily.

The aim is to improve understanding of reused and recycled parts, increase their accessibility and support their integration into standard repair processes.

For repairers, parts recovered from depolluted vehicles managed by authorised centres are becoming increasingly relevant. They support sustainability goals while also helping to manage repair costs at a time when workshops face margin pressure, higher material costs and growing demand for viable repair alternatives.

The agreement also addresses a key issue for the aftermarket: the need to professionalise the use of green parts within workshop procedures. Availability, traceability, accurate part identification and warranty support will all be essential if reused parts are to gain market share safely and reliably.

Training and tools for workshops

According to the announcement, Desguaces Suspiro and Apotalleres will work together on awareness campaigns, training and solutions designed to make green parts easier for workshops to use. These initiatives will target repair professionals, customers and other stakeholders across the repair value chain.

Speaking at the signing, Joaquín Cenit said the agreement represents “a firm step towards a more sustainable future for the sector” and added that green replacement “is not just an option, it is a necessity.”

Juan Antonio Ausín said the collaboration with Desguaces Suspiro would help offer workshops “real, competitive solutions aligned with current market and environmental demands.”

The agreement reflects a wider shift in Spain’s body repair sector, where profitability, operational efficiency and environmental performance are increasingly connected. For workshops seeking fairer financial recognition and better cost control, green parts offer a practical route to reduce pressure without compromising repair quality.
