This November, ELVES will once again be offering free EV (Electric Vehicle) Dismantling training to Authorised Treatment Facilities (permitted scrapyards) in Ireland. ELVES’ EV training programme for ATFs has been running since 2019 and has seen training delivered to over 200 ATF staff so far.
This round of training will be offered in Naas, Co. Kildare and Scotstown, Co. Monaghan, on the 11-13th of November, providing ATFs the opportunity to gain a level 2 and/or level 3 qualification as an EV Dismantling Technician.
The training will be delivered by Salvage Wire Ltd, specialists in EV training for ATFs. The training provides ATF staff with a grounding in EV safety, including the key steps involved in safely removing a battery from an end-of-life electric vehicle.
