Jean-Pierre Labonne (Compagnie des Raw Materials) was re-elected President of the Automobile Deconstruction sector of FEDEREC for a three-year term.
After training at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts in Besançon, Jean-Pierre
LABONNE joined the CFF group then Derichebourg from 1980 to 2006. In 2006, he created a central purchasing for CARECO and became the group’s general manager from 2012 to 2015. Since 2008, he has led a consultant activity at the Compagnie des Matières Premieres (CMP) and started new brokerage and support activities for the energy transition of thermal vehicles.
At the head of the Automobile Deconstruction sector since June 2019, he brings the many actions of FEDEREC to national and European authorities. The law relating to wrestling against waste and the circular economy was published in early 2020 and the sector is closely monitoring the work related to its transposition in a context of the revision of a directive over 20 years and decarbonisation of the industry.
Jean-Pierre Labonne said:
“The issues and challenges are numerous. Professionals that we represent suffer from an image degraded by an illegal sector still too present and a lack of visibility in the public sphere. The establishment of an eco-organization could upset a virtuous sector which largely reaches the environmental objectives set at European level. We will do our best to participate in the discussions relating to this creation and we undertake to defend this exciting sector in full transformation. I again thank the Board of Directors for to have renewed his confidence in me “.
