Opisto concludes its inaugural year in Spain with sales totaling 1.2 million euros. The brand boasts a stock of over one and a half million second-hand pieces sourced from Spanish scrapyards.
Initiating its venture into the Spanish market, Opisto, an online distributor of used auto parts, achieved a turnover of 1.2 million euros by the close of 2023. Globally, the company facilitated business volume of 96 million euros through collaborations with scrapyards.
In Spain, Opisto maintains a substantial inventory of over one and a half million second-hand pieces from domestic scrapyards. Noteworthy suppliers include Recoautos, Desguace Logroño, and Desguace Malvarrosa, each providing over 200,000 high-quality parts from their CATs.
Launched in 2023, the Opisto.pro platform offers repair professionals access to an extensive array of used parts in Spain. This affords them numerous advantages, including the ability to source discontinued or hard-to-find parts, reduce vehicle repair costs, and contribute to the ecological transformation of their workshops by embracing environmentally friendly practices and promoting the circular economy.
“As in France, Opisto wants to establish strong links with the different agents in the automotive after-sales sector, offering them a solution adapted to their needs. Nowadays, it is essential to offer drivers an alternative to new parts, ecological, fast and simple, and the automotive industry has clearly understood this,” says Álvaro Barrales López, Key Account Manager Spain at Opisto.
“Thanks to our Opisto Connect solution, we connect Spanish sellers selected according to various quality criteria with the French and Spanish market. In this way, more than one and a half million parts from Spanish scrapyards or CATs are available on Opisto.com. For them, this represents a real business opportunity and a springboard towards new international markets,” confirms Álvaro Barrales López.
In the company’s projections for 2024, Opisto targets a business volume of €126 million driven by participating CATs, including €3.5 million from Spanish CATs. Additionally, the company plans to augment its offering from Spanish sellers to 2.5 million pieces by year-end, solidifying its position in the Spanish and European markets. Committed to forging strong partnerships within the automotive after-sales sector, Opisto advocates for an ecological alternative to automotive parts.
Opisto.com and Opisto.pro currently host over one and a half million used spare parts from Spanish scrapyards, available for sellers to market both domestically and in the French market. Exporting to France presents these centers with an economic growth opportunity, not only enhancing sales within their home country but also providing access to new markets.
“Our goal for the new year is to be a leader in the online distribution of used spare parts for cars in Spain and France. We are committed to continuing to offer our customers a wide range of quality replacement parts, backed by rigorous inspection and certification standards. Furthermore, we are focused on promoting sustainable practices in the automotive industry, promoting the circular economy and thus contributing to a greener and more responsible future,” says Álvaro Barrales López, Key Account Manager of Opisto in Spain.
