Powerhand has reinforced its presence in the North American recycling market following a successful appearance at ReMa 2025. Managing Director Murray Clark attended the event, meeting with industry professionals, reconnecting with longstanding partners, and building momentum for Powerhand’s continued international growth.
“I thoroughly enjoyed meeting people from the North American auto recycling market and talking about the opportunities for the future within the industry,” said Clark. “It’s always great to catch up with familiar faces from the other side of the Atlantic and hear how they’re moving their businesses forward, and how our Powerhand solutions are playing a key role in that progress.”
Labour costs and value recovery remained key talking points throughout the exhibition. Clark noted strong parallels between the North American and European markets, with growing demand for smarter dismantling processes and higher-value extraction from vehicles.
“The talking points are very similar to what we see in Europe,” he explained. “This is all very exciting, as we are continuing to develop in the Value Extraction Recycling space to assist our customers and the wider industry in this direction.”
A key highlight from ReMa was the showcase of the Powerhand VRS200 vehicle dismantler, mounted on a Liebherr R922 excavator. The display, delivered in collaboration with Liebherr USA, proved a major draw and reinforced the value of the ongoing partnership.
“Many thanks to Liebherr USA for their cooperation and for displaying our VRS200 on their R922 excavator, which has proved to be a popular and very successful partnership in the North American market,” said Clark.
The Powerhand VRS200 is designed to help auto recyclers maximise profit by enabling fast, safe and precise extraction of high-value components such as engines, transmissions and axles. Built entirely from high-strength Swedish alloy steels, it delivers exceptional reliability and is built to perform all day, every day.
Powerhand continues to expand its distributor network and support infrastructure across North America, helping recyclers transition to more efficient, profitable dismantling operations with solutions that are engineered to last.
