Recirculate: EU-Funded Project aims to create innovative business models for repairing, reusing, and recycling second-life batteries

The Recirculate project, funded by the European Union with €4.9 million, aims to create innovative business models for repairing, reusing, and recycling second-life batteries. It addresses the key challenges faced by the European battery recycling sector and battery materials logistics. The project brings together eleven partners from various countries to tackle these challenges by utilizing advanced technologies such as AI for automated dismantling, smart logistics solutions for safe storage and transportation, and blockchain technology for tracking battery data and establishing a battery marketplace.
