Sustainable repair: Covéa and Groupe Faubourg announce a partnership

The Covéa group is continuing its policy of promoting sustainable automotive repairs through a capital and industrial partnership with the Faubourg group, via its Aniel Marketplace entity. This partnership will enable the doubling of the use of reused parts for repairs on vehicles insured by Covéa brands by 2030, as well as the evolution of the B2B marketplace for automotive spare parts developed since 2019 by Aniel Marketplace.

Through this association, the Covéa and Faubourg groups intend to offer a marketplace for automotive spare parts for professionals, open to all and offering a very wide range of reused and new parts (original, OEM or equivalent quality) with a high level of quality, traceability and conformity of the parts offered.

This new marketplace will draw on the historical expertise of the Faubourg group’s Aniel Marketplace entity (the leading independent French marketplace for automotive spare parts), on Covéa’s leadership in car insurance in France and on all the players in the automotive industry who are in favor of more economical and more ecological repairs.

The newly created structure will be chaired by Maël-Yann Le Capitaine, current CEO of Aniel Marketplace. The role of CEO of the new structure will be entrusted to Laurent Decelle, from the Covéa group.

The coming months will be dedicated to coordinating the teams and co-creating the offering supported by the marketplace, with the aim of having a fully operational structure before the end of the year.

Stéphane Duroule, Managing Director of Offers and Services at the Covéa Group, said:

“By entering into this strategic partnership, Covéa is aiming to double the use of reused parts for our policyholders’ claims by 2030 and, more broadly, to achieve better cost control and quality of automotive parts. We are delighted to share this ambition with the Faubourg group and to create together an accessible and efficient range of spare parts for our authorized repairers and, more broadly, for the entire market.”

Mohamed Aouar, President of the Faubourg Group, emphasized:

“I am extremely happy and proud to formalize this strong partnership with Covéa. This is a major step in the development of the Faubourg Group, and a real recognition that completes the work carried out over several years by the Aniel Marketplace teams to develop, technically and commercially, a high-performance and attractive platform. We look forward to starting work with the Covéa teams in the coming days to structure, together, the benchmark marketplace for automotive repairs.”
