The GPA Group launches its second-hand motorcycle parts sales site GPA moto

The GPA Group, a car recycler and specialist in reused parts for 60 years, is entering the two-wheeler market with a dedicated second-hand parts e-commerce site, GPA Moto. This platform is aimed at professionals and individuals who, more and more, want to be part of a circular economy and sustainable development approach. The 10,000 parts in stock referenced by brand and model all come from the new dismantling workshop specially equipped by GPA and are subject to rigorous selection processes.

After bringing car scrapping into the 4.0 era, the no.1 in used car parts GPA is strengthening its involvement in the world of PIEC (Parts from the Circular Economy) with an e-commerce platform dedicated to motorcycles, scooters and quads. An important diversification for the GPA Group which responds both to growing demand in this segment and to a desire to democratize access to second-hand parts, while contributing to the protection of the environment.

More than 10,000 used parts for sale

Drawing on the experience of the automobile site, which totals more than 100,000 visitors each month, GPA has taken up the codes that make it successful to build its platform dedicated to motorcycles: ease of navigation, search and ordering, traceability and visibility of parts, responsiveness and reliability.

The site already offers 10,000 parts under conditions and guarantees that are the DNA of the GPA Group:

  • 2-year warranty on all parts, 1 year for motors and gearboxes
  • Attractive second-hand prices (50 to 90% cheaper than new)
  • Fast and free delivery in mainland France with no minimum purchase
  • 100% secure payment by credit card or Paypal
  • Customer support is based at the head office, in Drôme, and is available Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm.

The dismantling of a 2-wheeler can recover up to 40 parts, depending on the nature of the loss suffered. To meet its high quality and safety requirements, GPA has set up a dedicated team and invested in a new production tool.

An expert team and a high-performance production tool to give motorcycle parts a second life

Six people – including three skilled job creations – are dedicated to this new business segment. Indeed, as with cars, all second-hand parts sold on the new e-commerce platform are processed, tested and checked on the Livron-sur-Drôme site. To do this, GPA has invested in a modern and efficient installation, equipped with ergonomic stations for dismantling parts as well as a new ultrasonic machine for washing mechanical motorcycle parts. An approach that allows it to control the entire recovery chain, to apply strict processes for each part and to limit the environmental impact of the activity as much as possible.
