The Japan Automotive Recyclers Alliance (JARA) has officially appointed Yoichi Tabuchi of Toyota Tsusho Corporation as its new president, the organization announced. His appointment was approved during JARA’s General Meeting of the Shareholders held last month.
Tabuchi brings extensive experience in sustainability and resource circulation. Prior to this role, he served as Deputy General Manager of the Circular Economy Headquarters at Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and led the Strategic Business Unit for Resource Circulation across the Asia-Oceania region. He has also previously contributed to various initiatives within JARA.
In a statement following his appointment, Tabuchi expressed his commitment to JARA’s mission: “By carrying on the traditions and pride of JARA, I will pursue my job with everyone.”
He succeeds Kenichiro Yajima, who will assume a new role as President of Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India Pvt. Ltd.
The leadership transition marks a continued focus on advancing automotive recycling and sustainability across the region.
